SIMON RATTLE
British conductor Sir Simon Rattle (born 1955), rose to prominence as conductor of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, & is currently principal conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic, winning awards for their recordings & pioneering educational work. Simon has conducted a wide variety of music, but is best known for his interpretations of late 19th & early 20th century composers.
